Abstract
The UNODC/WHO International Standards on Drug Use Prevention and the improvement of drug prevention systems globally, including the ongoing development of the 'RePS - Review of Prevention Systems' tool: a tool to assess prevention systems on the basis of the Standards. The tool is being developed on the basis of a wide-ranging consultation including experts nominated by the 193 Member States of the United Nations. The main components of the tool and the methodology for the field testing globally will be presented.
The tool has the potential to allow the comparable mapping of national prevention systems globally, to be utilized as a basis for planning improvement, as well as monitoring and evaluation.
