Niemelä

Solja Niemelä is a specialist in psychiatry with special competence in addiction medicine, currently finalizing her tenure-track professorship as an associate professor of addiction medicine at University of Turku, Finland. She also has a position as a chief physician at The Addiction Psychiatry unit at the Turku University Hospital. Her field of research is clinical epidemiology utilizing population studies and register-linkage datasets. Her main research interests are psychosis and substance use as well as prognosis of adolescent substance use. A/Prof Niemelä has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications in domestic and international journals, and her H-index is 31.
